The City of Chilliwack is looking for an energetic, motivated individual for our Parks and Recreation Department to fill the position of PARKS WORKER. |
| Education: |
This position requires formal education in horticulture and/or turf grass from a recognized school or a minimum of four years practical experience in landscaping. A valid B.C. Driver's Licence with appropriate classification of equipment assigned is required. |
| Skills: |
We require a person with horticultural and landscaping experience with expertise in turf grass maintenance. Additional duties include repair and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems, grass seeding, fertilizing, overseeding, sodding, cultivating grounds, planting flower beds, shrubs, trees, etc., pruning, weeding and applying herbicides and pesticides.
